Kancelari gjerman, Scholz sërish përjashton mundësinë e dërgimit të armëve në Ukrainë. Megjithatë pas bisedës me Sekretarin e Përgjithshëm të NATO-s, ai foli për sanksione të mundshme kundër gazsjellësit Nord Stream-2.
Pas vendimit të Britanisë së Madhe për të furnizuar Ukrainën me armë, kancelari Olaf Scholz përsëriti refuzimin e Gjermanisë për të bërë të njëjtën gjë: “Qeveria gjermane ka ndjekur një strategji të ngjashme për këtë çështje për shumë vite. Dhe këtu përfshihet edhe moseksportimi i armëve vdekjeprurëse”, tha Scholz të martën në Berlin, pas një takimi me Sekretarin e Përgjithshëm të NATO-s, Jens Stoltenberg.
Ukraina kërkon armë
Ukraina kërkon prej vitesh nga Gjermania furnizime me armë që të mbrohet ndaj një sulmi të mundshëm rus – por deri tani pa sukses. Te armët vdekjeprurëse hyjnë mitralozët, granatat me raketa apo edhe anije e avionë lufte.
Britania e Madhe i premtoi Ukrainës armë të lehta për sigurinë kufitare të hënën. “Ukraina ka çdo të drejtë të mbrojë kufijtë e saj”, tha në parlament Sekretari i Mbrojtjes Ben Wallace. “Këto nuk janë armë strategjike dhe nuk paraqesin kërcënim për Rusinë”, tha ai.

Nga ana tjetër, Scholz nuk përjashton që në rast agresioni rus kundër Ukrainës, të ketë sanksione edhe ndaj gazsjellësit të diskutueshëm Nord Stream 2. U ra dakord mes SHBA-së dhe Gjermanisë se si të vazhdohet me gazsjellësin, tha Scholz. Gjermania i qëndron marrëveshjes, e cila thotë, për shembull, se Ukraina duhet të vazhdojë të jetë një vend tranzit për gazin rus në Evropën Perëndimore. Sekretari i Përgjithshëm i NATO-s, Stoltenberg ftoi përfaqësuesit e Rusisë dhe të 30 aleatëve, që të vijojnë bisedimet. Aleatët janë të gatshëm të vendosin propozime me shkrim në tryezë në Këshillin NATO-Rusi dhe të përpiqen për rezultate konstruktive, tha norvegjezi.
Ushtarët rusë mbërrijnë në Bjellorusi
Ndërkohë, ushtarët e parë rusë kanë mbërritur në Bjellorusi për manovra të përbashkëta ushtarake. Stërvitjet për gatishmërinë operacionale dhe luftarake po zhvillohen për shkak të “rritjes së vazhdueshme të tensioneve në Evropë, veçanërisht në kufijtë perëndimorë dhe jugorë të Bjellorusisë”, tha Ministria e Mbrojtjes në Minsk.
Presidenti i bjellorus Aleksandër Lukashenko i justifikoi stërvitjet me shtimin e pranisë ushtarake të NATO-s në Poloni dhe në shtetet baltike dhe me situatën e tensionuar në Ukrainë. Fillimisht ishte e paqartë se sa ushtarë do të merrnin pjesë. Manovrat do të zhvillohen në dy faza: Fokusi i fazës së parë deri më 9 shkurt do të jetë transferimi i trupave ruse dhe bjelloruse në “zonat e kërcënuara” dhe sigurimi i infrastrukturës dhe hapësirës ajrore shtetërore dhe ushtarake. Manovrat aktuale do të zhvillohen më pas në disa baza ushtarake bjelloruse nga 10 deri më 20 shkurt.

SHBA është e shqetësuar
Ndërkohë, qeveria amerikane ka shprehur shqetësimin për vendosjen e trupave ruse në Bjellorusi në mes të konfliktit në Ukrainë. “Momenti është i çuditshëm dhe sigurisht që na jep shkas për shqetësimin se Rusia, mund të synojë të vendosë trupa në Bjellorusi, nën maskën e manovrave të përbashkëta, për të sulmuar më pas Ukrainën nga veriu”, citohet nga agjencitë e lajmeve një zyrtare e lartë e qeverisë. Numri i ushtarëve rusë është mbi numrin e zakonshëm të “stërvitjeve normale ushtarake”. Alexander Lukashenko po mbështetet gjithnjë e më shumë te Rusia. “Dhe ne e dimë se ai nuk e merr atë mbështetje falas.”
