Kryeministri i Republikës së Kosovës, Albin Kurti, përmes një telegrami ka shprehur ngushëllime për ndarjen nga jeta të ish-komandantit të Misionit të forcave paqeruajtëse të NATO-s në Kosovë, gjeneralit Klaus Reinhardt.
Vdekjen e gjeneralit Reinhardt, Kurti e ka vlerësuar humbje jo vetëm për familjen, miqtë e bashkëpunëtorët e tij, por edhe për popullin e Kosovës.
Roli dhe kontributi i gjeneralit Reinhardt në ruajtjen e paqes e sigurisë në vitin e parë të pasluftës në Kosovë është i pamohueshëm, ka thënë kryeministri.
Në telegramin drejtuar ambasadorit të Gjermanisë, Joern Rohde, kryeministri ka rikujtuar periudhën e vështirë të pasluftës, kur gjenerali udhëhoqi me përgjegjësinë më të lartë misionin më të madh ushtarak të NATO-s, prej 50 mijë trupash, sa ishin të vendosura atëherë në Kosovë.
Tutja ka shtuar kryeministri Kurti, se gjenerali Reinhardt e kuptonte shumë mirë kontekstin historik e politik të Kosovës.
“Ai bashkëndjente me problemet e popullit që atë kohë përpiqej të rindërtonte jetën në shtëpitë e pronat e djegura e të shkatërruara nga forcat policore e ushtarake të Serbisë”, ka shkruar Kurti në telegramin ngushëllues. .

Me pikëllim të thellë mora lajmin për ndarjen nga jeta të ish-komandantit të KFOR-it, gjeneralit Klaus Reinhardt.
Vdekja e tij është humbje jo vetëm për familjen, miqtë e bashkëpunëtorët e tij, por edhe për popullin tonë, sepse gjenerali Reinhardt ishte afër nesh dhe na ndihmoi shumë në vitet e para dhe të rënda të pasluftës.
Roli dhe kontributi i gjeneralit Reinhardt në ruajtjen e paqes e sigurisë në vitet 1999-2001 është i pamohueshëm.
Gjenerali Reinhardt udhëhoqi me përgjegjësinë më të lartë misionin më të madh ushtarak të NATO-s prej 50 mijë trupash sa ishin të vendosura atëherë në Kosovë.
Edhe pse ushtarak, gjenerali Reinhardt e kuptonte shumë mirë kontekstin historik e politik të Kosovës.
Ai bashkëndjente me problemet e popullit që atëkohë përpiqej të rindërtonte jetën në shtëpitë e pronat e djegura dhe të shkatërruara nga forcat policore e ushtarake të Serbisë.
Përveç ndihmës në rindërtimin e shtëpive e shkollave, gjenerali Reinhardt dha kontribut edhe në ndërtimin dhe konsolidimin e institucioneve qeverisëse të Kosovës.
