Komisioneri i BE-së për Zgjerimin Oliver Varhelyi, mbështeti nismën e Ballkanit të Hapur duke ftuar edhe tre vendet e tjera të rajonit që të bëhen pjesë.
Ishte kryeministri Rama që kërkoi nga Varhelyi konfirmimin nëse BE e mbështet nismën, dhe komisioneri shprehu përkrahjen pa hezitim.
Në Samitin e Tiranës ku ishte pjesë online, zyrtari i lartë i Brukselit, nxiti Shqipërinë, Serbinë dhe Maqedoninë për të ecur përpara duke hequr burokracitë mes vendeve.
“Unë jam nga Hungaria dhe kjo më jep një nivel më të afërt të kuptimit si mund të ndihmojmë Ballkanin nga BE për t’u rritur sa më shpejt. Për të qenë i ndershëm kam qenë i prirur shumë pozitivisht ndaj këtij propozimi që fillimisht u quajt në fillim “mini shengen”, më pas u përpoqëm brenda “Procesit të Berlinit” dhe krijuam tregun e përbashkët rajonal”, tha Varhelyi.
Tutja ka shtuar ai se kjo nismë, fatkeqësisht u la mënjanë në një kohë.
“Por për fat të keq me disa zgjedhje në rajon kjo nismë u la mënjanë. Dhe e ndërkohë e konsideroj këtë nismë të Ballkanit të Hapur si një pasardhëse apo zëdhënëse derisa të gjithë të jenë të gjithë rreth tryezës. Ju vazhdoni ta nxisni këtë nismë sepse rajoni kërkon që të jetë një i tërë sa i takon ekonomisë dhe shoqërisë. Rajoni kërkon që të jetë bashkë, sikur jemi ne në BE. Admiroj edhe faktin edhe sa e ndjeni këtë nismë. Ka qenë një nismë që vjen nga Ballkani”, theksoi tutj komisioneri evropian.
Siç tha ai’Ballkani i Hapur’, nuk është nismë e Be-së.
Nuk është BE që doli me këtë nismë, por erdhi prej jush, tre aktorëve që shoh rreth tryezës dhe ju vazhduat të shtynit përpara edhe kur ne nuk arritëm që të tërhiqnim pjesëmarrjen e të gjithë partnerëve, sepse ju kuptuat rëndësinë e tregut rajonal dhe mënyrën sesi mund të përshpejtojë integrimin ekonomik.
Ne mendojmë se ky është mesazhi më i mirë se rajoni mund të përçojë se jo vetëm se është gati për bashkëpunim rajonal por po e bën. Mund të më përfshini si mbështetës të Ballkanit të Hapur. I ftoj tre partnerët e tjerë t’i kthehen këtij bashkëpunimi rajonal.Përmes tregut të përbashkët rajonal Ballkani mund të shtojë 1/3 rritje të PBB (Prodhimit të Brendshëm Bruto) ekzistuese” tha ai Varhelyi.
Komisioneri nuk e shprehu keqardhjen për dështimin e mbajtjes së konferencës së parë ndërqeveritare për negociatat për Shqipërinë dhe Maqedoninë, shkruan abc.news. “Nuk e fsheh keqardhjen që nuk e kemi mbajtur konferencën e parë me Shqipërinë dhe Maqedoninë, duhet t’i mbajmë shumë shpejt” tha ai.
