Pas vendimit të gjykatësit të procedurës paraprake, marr më 18 tetor 2021, Zyra e Prokurorit të Specializuar (ZPS) e ka dorëzuar versionin e redaktuar publik të aktakuzës së korrigjuar në çështjen ku për krime lufte po akuzohet Pjetër Shala.
Kjo është bërë e ditur përmes një njoftimi të publikuar në faqen zyrtare të Dhomave të Specializuara të Kosovës në Hagë.
Pjetër Shala u arrestua më 16 mars 2021 nga autoritetet belge dhe u transferua në Hagë më 15 prill 2021, në bazë të një kërkese për bashkëpunim në zbatimin e fletëarrestit dhe urdhrit për transferim lëshuar nga Dhomat e Specializuara të Kosovës, raporton “Betimi për Drejtësi”
.Në aktakuzën e konfirmuar, Shala ngarkohet me përgjegjësi penale individuale në forma të ndryshme për krime lufte si ndalim arbitrar, trajtim mizor, torturë dhe vrasje të paligjshme, të kryera në kontekstin e konfliktit të armatosur jondërkombëtar në Kosovë dhe në lidhje me këtë konflikt.
“Krimet për të cilat akuzohet z. Shala u kryen përafërsisht midis 17 majit 1999 dhe 5 qershorit 1999, kundër personave që u mbajtën të ndaluar në fabrikën e metalit në Kukës (Shqipëri), që pretendohet se përdorej prej Ushtrisë Çlirimtare të Kosovës”, thuhet në komunikatë.
